Tate & Tryon has a proud tradition of leadership and commitment to the nonprofit community.  Whether through firm-wide initiatives or the efforts of individual staff members, Tate & Tryon is firmly committed to sharing the Firm’s knowledge and resources with the communities in which we do business.  These outside activities help the Firm to better understand and address client needs.

Volunteer Work and Services

Our staff organizes and participates in a variety of charitable events benefiting organizations such as:

  • Spend Yourself® – Hunger Ministry
  • Harriet Tubman Women’s Shelter
  • Capital Area Food Bank
  • Catholic Charities’ Kennedy School
  • Fisher House Foundation
  • Meals on Wheels

Also, the Firm provides 16 hours of paid time off to our employees so that they can volunteer on their own for causes about which they are passionate.

 

Toys for Tots DC

In lieu of gifts during the holidays, Tate & Tryon makes an annual donation on behalf of our clients to Toys for Tots DC which provides toys to children of local families in need.

Summer Intern Learning Program

Tate & Tryon’s summer intern learning program assists small charitable organizations.  This 8-week program is designed to provide accounting interns with hands-on work experience while providing the recipient nonprofit with critical accounting support.  The program is provided pro-bono.
